Baldwin Law
Susan Baldwin offers 25 years of unique legal, governmental and media skill and experience to clients. She started her legal career at the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, where she attained the level of Chief Felony Prosecutor. Her high-profile prosecutions of criminal street gang members led to her appointment by Mayor Bob Lanier as the City of Houston’s first Anti-Gang Task Force Director, and later to her post as the Executive Director of Crime Stoppers of Houston, the most successful anonymous crime tips hotline cash rewards program in the world. She is recognized nationally and well-known locally as a criminal street gang expert, crime victims’ advocate, and is often featured in the local and national news.
Susan entered private practice in June 2006. Her practice areas include state and federal criminal defense, family law, special prosecution, and police employment representation. Susan’s family law practice resulted from the frequent overlap of criminal justice and domestic relations courts, requiring skilled advocacy in both practice areas. Susan’s lengthy history of public service, assistance and advocacy for Dallas residents, positions her well to defend clients in courts of law as well and in the court of public opinion. Through her dedication to justice as an attorney, she has excelled at championing the rights of both the people and the accused in over 100 jury trials.
